The Hall is managed by the Strath Creek Progress Association inc. a group of local community people.
It is for hire for any events that do not contravene the general principles of our community organisation.
The Hall is located in Ferguson St. at the end of the Pioneer reserve, a large park with BBQ facilities and children's playground, on a dead end road with ample parking space.
There is a fully equipped kitchen , crockery and cutlery, a commercial dishwasher , and if required a sound system can be assembled.
There are many large tables ( seat 8-10) and chairs that can be deployed or stored as required. The hall will accommodate about 80 people comfortably.
The Hall has reverse cycle air conditioning units. There is also an outdoor pizza oven for which you need to provide your own wood.
There is also a smaller meeting room with a board table adjacent to the kitchen.
For your event you will not require a liquor licence as long as you are not selling liquor.
SCPA holds appropriate public liability insurance.
The hire charge for a full day and night is $400 plus a fully refundable security bond of $200 ( to cover any unforeseen breakages or extraordinary cleaning required).
The full amount is payable 2 weeks prior to your event . A $50 administration fee is payable if the event is cancelled within the last two weeks, the remainder being refundable.
The Hall can also be hired for half day events, 8.00am-12.00 midday or 1.00pm-5pm when the cost is $200 plus a $200 fully refundable security bond.
The meeting room and kitchen only can also be hired for any duration for $200 plus a $200 refundable bond.
Please note that open fires are not permitted in the park at any time.
We also request that you arrange to take away any rubbish generated during your event. Bags and bins are provided.
Community NFP groups may negotiate a reduced hire fee with SCPA.
